Josh Maja is buzzing to be back after making his comeback at Arsenal on Monday evening.
The London-born striker grew up watching the Gunners so a starting berth at the Emirates Stadium was just the tonic following a frustrating two months on the sidelines.
And despite being unable to help his team-mates avoid defeat, the 18-year-old admitted the result wasn’t enough to dampen his mood after returning to action.
“I’m buzzing to be back and it was good to get 60 minutes,” said Maja.
“My knee felt fine and there were no problems, so I’m looking forward to the next game.”
He continued: “I’ve got to take it slowly but as soon as I get my chance I’ve got to take it.
“It was a good experience [playing at the Emirates] and Arsenal were the team I supported as a boy, so it was special to play here in my hometown.
“And my family were all here tonight to watch me as well.”
